Bahujan spectatorship relates to an oppositional gaze and a political strategy of Bahujans to
reject the Brahminical representation of caste and marginalised communities in Indian
cinema. It is also an inverted methodology to document a different sociopolitical Bahujan
experience of consuming popular cinema.
