Mechanobiology Handbook

This will be a substantial revision of a former reference work that willl now be developed as a primary text for emerging courses in mechanobiology/cell mechanics being offered in a growing number of biomedical engineering and chemical engineering departments worldwide. It will also serve as a professional reference book for engineers, scientisits and clinicians who are interested in mechanobiology, which is the study of the effects of mechanical environments on the biological processess of cells. The readers will gain a comprehensive review of recent research findings as well as elementary chapters on solid mechanics, fluide mechanics, and molecular analysis techniques.
