Vanhu vemuHarare is a restorative documentary project, erected to restore a sense of agency and ownership to the daily lives of Zimbabwean citizens—specifically those in Harare (the capital city)—one story at a time.Literature has only touched a finger to the meniscus of the reality of being raised and nurtured in a Zimbabwean household. The essential issues of parenting, mental health, coming of age and emotional competence within a familial and communal unit, are explored in this project, in ways the world hasn’t given enough attention to Zimbabwe to even know were a possibility.
